The Ox

Liverpool Rd.
Formerly the Oxnoble, the Ox does have the potential to be a decent place for a few pints. This is a handsome enough pub, and it does serve at least two or three real ales. The main problem is that the emphasis here is very much on food, with most of the large ground floor being dominated by dining/diners. It styles itself as a gastropub, and it is also a hotel. None of the Flavours of Manchester team have eaten here for a long time, but from memory the food was very good. It is unlikely to revert to being a boozer, and the limited space for drinkers is a problem.
